Brave service dog saves blind owners life
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) -- A brave service dog is being called a hero after she saved her blind owners life.
Yolanda, was at home with her owner in Holmesburg, when the fire began.
The dog dialed 911 on a specialized phone, and then pulled her owner out of the house.
Yolanda’s 60-year-old owner was transported to Nazareth Hospital, and treated for smoke inhalation.
The heroic pooch was treated to some toys and treats supplied by Red Paw Relief volunteers.
Miraculously, this isn’t the first time Yolanda has called 911 for her owner. Last year, the woman fell and lost consciousness inside her home. Yolanda leapt into action then as well, dialing 911 and saving her life.
