Two suspects were arrested Friday in connection with the death of a missing 21-year-old Bay Area woman.

Karla Ramirez Segoviano of Alameda County volunteers with the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.

She disappeared under what authorities were calling "suspicious" circumstances. She had last been seen Wednesday night around 10 p.m.  when she dropped off a friend in San Leandro.

Deputies later picked up a license-plate recognition "hit" on her car near the intersection of West A Street and Happyland in Hayward.

On Thursday Oakland Police responded to a report of an unresponsive female in the 7700 block of Krause Avenue. Police determined the woman was dead and was a homicide victim. The woman's burned body was found in a wooded section of the park, an Oakland police spokesman said.

The woman was later identified as Ramirez Segoviano.

Homicide investigators followed up on leads which led to two arrests.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Oakland Police Department Homicide Division at (510) 238-3821 or the department's tip line at (510) 238-7950.

At this point, additional details are not being released.
