Cal State East Bay student included in Grammy win

A California State East Bay graduate student was featured on a Grammy-winning album.

Trumpet player Mario Silva, 36, was included on the Grammy for Best Reggae Album of the Year last night for his contribution to Morgan Heritage's "Strictly Roots." 

Silva said in a statement, "I remember recording it and thinking, wow, this sounds pretty amazing."

According to university officials, Silva is earning his master's degree in jazz performance.
