In Santa Cruz, a man is under arrest on suspicion of a brazen car break in.

Nathan Dickerson, 23, was arrested on charges of theft and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Santa Cruz Police released a video, in which a person broke into a car at a 2-story parking lot in broad daylight last week.

Authorities say the person took several items, including a gun that was stored in a lock box.

The break in and theft all happened in just three minutes.

Investigators say they identified the suspect through another surveillance camera.

They eventually tracked down Dickerson on Monday.

However, he no longer had the gun.
