Cherry blossom trees outside the Japanese center in San Francisco destroyed
SAN FRANCISCO - Two cherry blossom trees outside the Japanese Cultural and Community Center in San Francisco have been destroyed.
The trees were 15 feet tall, but Tuesday morning they were found, cut down to their trunks.
Surveillance video shows someone destroying the pair of trees over several days.
The trees were planted in 1994 to commemorate the visit of the emperor and empress of Japan.
