Christmas Eve toy drive in San Francisco
San Francisco (KTVU) -- It's become an annual holiday tradition in San Francisco.
The city's fire department is partnering with Lefty O'Douls Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge to once again collect toys for families in need.
Volunteers Thursday will be waiting on the curb in front of the restaurant, collecting toys from passing drivers, starting at 5 a.m.
The restaurant's owner, and Mayor Ed Lee say the need for toys is greater than ever this year.
They are hoping to collect at least 15-thousand toys.
Donations can be dropped off all day long.
Volunteers will then make deliveries all across the city, to make sure kids don't miss out on Christmas.
