Christmas magic: Soldier dad surprises daughter

LAS VEGAS (KTVU) - A serviceman worked with a shopping mall Santa in Las Vegas to give his little girls a special Christmas present.

Sergeant Jason Walthers is in the Air Force and is stationed in South Korea.

He's been away from home for more than six-months, but is now home for the holidays.

He made a surprise visit to a mall yesterday, where his 5-year old girl told Santa she had been wishing for her father to come home.

Dad and Santa worked out a special mission.

He hid from his daughters until the perfect moment for a reveal.

Dad goes back to Korea next month. But for now it's just time for family and the holidays.
