Concord police search for 'bumbling burglar'
CONCORD, Calif. (KTVU) - Concord police are searching for a man they call a "bumbling burglar."
The most recent theft occurred Sunday at a local convenience store.
Police believe the man attempted to rob the same store in November.
In the first attempt, surveillance video shows the man pulling on the door until the handle breaks off, and he falls to the ground. He then appears to give up.
In the most recent theft, video shows the man throwing a rock multiple times against the glass door before it breaks. The suspect then kicks through the glass and crawls through the lower portion of the door to enter the store.
The man rushes to the counter where he breaks into the register making off with nearly $5,000 worth of lottery tickets.
