Contra Costa Animal Services to offer free pet adoptions this week

Contra Costa Animal Services
MARTINEZ, Calif. (KTVU, BCN) - If you've been thinking about adding a furry friend to your household, this may be a good week to make it happen.
This week, Contra Costa Animal Services is offering free adoptions to qualified homes as it works to clear shelter space.
"Our shelter is totally full," the agency wrote on its Facebook page.
The free adoptions will be offered from Tuesday through Friday (Sept. 11- 14) at the agency's Martinez shelter located at 4800 Imhoff Place and the Contra Costa Animal Services' Pinole location at 910 San Pablo Ave.
While the shelter is waiving the cost of adoption, other fees may apply including the cost for licensing, rabies vaccination, and/or microchipping, according to the agency.
Those interested in adopting a pet are invited to visit the shelters to meet the animals. You can also see a full list of available pets complete with photos and details about the animal by going to the Contra Costa Animal Services website at www.ccasd.org.
