Controversial sheriff's PSA draws comparisons to ISIS terrorist videos

An unusual video from law enforcement officials in Florida is receiving a lot of attention on the internet.

The video comes out of the Lake County Sheriff's Office, near Orlando and it features the department's sheriff with four ski-masked clad undercover deputies behind him, as he delivers a threatening message to heroin dealers.

A scowl faced Sheriff Peyton Grinnell warns, "To the dealers that are pushing this poison, I have a message for you: We’re coming for you."

He goes on to tell dealers to "enjoy looking over your shoulders constantly wondering if today's the day... enjoy trying to sleep tonight wondering if tonight's the night our SWAT team blows your front door off the hinges. We are coming for you."

The video ends with Sheriff Grinnell repeating the phrase, "We are coming for you." He tells the dealers to run, and then the sheriff's officials in the video abruptly turn and file out of the room.

The video has been viewed more than 730,000 times on Facebook and has received a viral response across social media.

"Now I see where ISIS got its uniforms," was the comment Brett Moncer left on the Lake County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page.

"I was expecting you to behead an addict at the end of this," commented Sterling Jerabek.

Others were more serious with their criticism, blasting the department for using such scare tactics.

"This is an absolute disgrace. You should be ashamed of yourself. Citizens fear you, my children fear you and I can't even teach them in good faith to call police if they need help. You are perpetuating fear of police instead of caring community guardians." wrote Jesse Rivel.

There were some who applauded the sheriff's tough stance.

"This is awesome, get em boys!!!!!!!" commented Celo Fabian.

"Outstanding. Thank you all to the men and women who serve. I have a son and daughter-in-law who both work in ER's up north. This problem is out of hand--too many needless deaths and too many getting away with murder. Nicely done, Sheriff!" wrote Nan Morgan.
