Police investigators in Arizona are hoping to track down a woman who apparently gave birth at the Tucson International Airport and then abandoned the newborn in a bathroom in January, according to reports.

Authorities released images from security cameras showing the woman police believe delivered the baby in a bathroom on the airport's concourse Sunday, January 14. She then went through security with the baby, cleaned up near baggage claim, and left the child in a bathroom next to the car rental area, police said.

The woman left the baby and a note on a changing table. She apparently wrote the note from the POV of the baby.

"My mom had no idea she was pregnant. She is unable and unfit to take care of me," the note reads. "Please get me to the authorities so they can find a good home for me."

Authorities said the infant was in good condition.

Police said the mother may face charges but investigators want to make sure she is OK.
