Court appearance scheduled for Peninsula school teacher accused of sexual assault
MORGAN HILL, Calif. (KTVU) -- An elementary school teacher in the South Bay is scheduled to return to court on Monday, on charges of sexually assaulting four female students.
John Loyd, 52, waived a preliminary hearing in July.
He had taught fifth grade at Paradise Valley Elementary School in Hollister since 2008.
Loyd was put on administrative leave, after a girl first accused him of sexually assaulting her, officials said.
According to authorities, several other girls have since come forward, following the initial allegation.
Loyd is being held in the Santa Clara County Jail, without bail, deputies said.
