Crews at scene of radioactive material leak in Antioch
ANTIOCH, Calif. (KTVU) - Crews are at the site of a potential hazmat situation in Contra Costa County.
Robert Marshall Fire Marshall with Contra Costa Fire says at 9 a.m. they received a call about a piece of construction equipment that was damaged during the work they were doing.
The equipment contained a small amount of radioactive material, which was exposed to the environment.
Crews are trying to determine how severe of a problem this is.
An apartment complex next to the construction site has been evacuated.
