Crews battling fire in San Francisco amid reports of trapped people

SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) -- Firefighters in San Francisco were responding Friday evening to a two-alarm fire and there were initial reports that rescues of trapped people were underway.

Crews were called to Noriega Street between 25th and 26th streets after 6:30 p.m. It was not immediately clear if any injuries have been reported.

According to dispatches heard on the fire rescue scanners, crews were working to rescue people who were trapped on fire escapes.
