Crews clear Tioga Pass into Yosemite National Park after winter of heavy snow
YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif. (KTVU) - The California Department of Transportation is sharing video of its road crews plowing Highway 120, just outside Yosemite National Park.
The drone footage shows crews working east of the Tioga Pass entrance to the park, after a winter of heavy snowfall.
Park workers who clear the road have to watch out for 26 avalanche zones, fallen trees and boulders hidden in the snow.
Once the road is clear, they'll fix both the road and the park facilities for the summer tourist season. But so far, officals haven't given an estimated re-opening date.
