Crews respond to gas leak, possible explosion in San Jose
SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - A gas leak and possible explosion was reported Sunday afternoon by the San Jose Fire Department at Townsend Park by Araujo Street.
San Jose police and Santa Clara County Ambulance crews responded to the scene around noon according to a tweet from the fire department.
Authorities completed an evaluation of the area and said there was damage to a water heater.
A hazardous materials team checked for chemical issues in a pool room and found no significant readings on monitors, fire officials said.
An evacuation order was in place but later lifted. There were no reports of any injuries.
