A 29-year-old San Francisco woman had a stroke of luck when she was given a winning lotto ticket for her birthday.

Bich Ha's dad had bought her California Lottery Crossword Deluxe Scratchers as a birthday present for his daughter. He purchased the winning ticket from Woerner's Liquor, which is located on Geary Street in the Tenderloin.

As Ha scratched off the numbers she questioned what she was actually seeing. "He said, '(You) won a lot of money!'" Ha said.

The winning ticket brings a prize of $2 million.

According to the California Lottery, Ha, who describes herself as Vietnamese of Chinese descent, said she knows caring for her mother and father will eventually be her responsibility.

Ha hopes to use the money to buy a place for her parents - hopefully in the city. As a second priority Ha and her husband hope to find a home close to her parents.

Woerner's Liquor will also rake in $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.
