Deer 'moving full-throttle' though a school's halls

A deer decked the halls at a school in Enterprise, Mississippi last week.

Students just arriving to start school on a Wednesday morning were greeted with a startling surprise when a deer stormed through one door, ran about 200 feet, and then slid on the tiled floor all the way through another door.

Both the explosive entrance and exit of the deer required students to jump out of the way. Principal Marlon Brannan said the deer bloodied his nose by jumping and hitting a window three times before running through the open door.

The school is in a rural, wooded area, though Brannan said it’s unusual to see deer on campus. After exiting, the deer ran between two vehicles in the carpool lane before making its way into the woods.
