Democrats holding gun control sit-ins nationwide Wednesday
SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - Sit-ins are being held across the nation on Wednesday, to rally support for tighter gun control.
Organizers are labeling it a "Day of Action."
Democratic members of Congress are taking part, following their highly publicized 25-hour sit-in last week on the house floor.
Local representatives, including Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Lee, Eric Swalwell, Mike Thompson, and Mike Honda, will hold what they are calling, "a family sit-in" at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital & Trauma Center at 1 p.m.
They are being joined by Vallejo Police Chief Andrew Bidou, community leaders, and survivors of gun violence.
