Dog Places Seventh in Half Marathon

ELKMONT, Alabama (KTVU) - She never registered officially to compete, but a Bloodhound named Ludivine finished seventh in the Elkmont Half Marathon in Alabama. Runners in the January 16th race noticed the dog at the start of the race, joining in the competition.
Race organizers posted a photo from the finish line with Ludivine sporting a seventh place medal on their Facebook page, after the dog successfully completed the 13-mile course.
Ludivine’s owner apparently lives near the starting line, and had no idea the dog had joined the race, until she was contacted by marathon officials.
