Double shooting in San Jose, one man dies of injuries

A man was shot to death in San Jose early Tuesday in San Jose, police said, marking the eighth homicide of the year.

Sgt. Enrique Garcia said police responded to a shooting a 1:11 a.m. in the 400 block of Blossom Hill Road where officers found two men suffering from at least one gunshot wound each.

Both were taken to the hospital and one of the men was pronounced dead a short time later, Garcia said. The second victim will survive.

There was also a shooting about a mile away Calero and Snell avenues and police are trying to figure out if they are related. 

In 2017, there were 37 homicides.
