SAN RAFAEL (BCN) - The male driver of a gray Cadillac died when he drove onto a hillside and overturned on an on-ramp to U.S. Highway 101 in San Rafael Friday morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The CHP was notified about the incident on the Lincoln Avenue on-ramp at 11:31 a.m., and the San Rafael Fire Department pronounced the driver dead at the scene, CHP Officer Andrew Barclay said.
The Marin County coroner's office was summoned around noon, the CHP said.
Traffic on northbound Highway 101 was not affected but the Lincoln Avenue on-ramp was closed, Barclay said.
