Driver killed after colliding with ACE train in Livermore

A driver is dead after colliding with an ACE train Monday morning.

The crash happened at 7:51 a.m. at Junction Avenue near Ladd Avenue. 

The female driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead on the scene according to the Livermore-Pleasanton fire battalion chief. 

The cause of the collision is under investigation, but the fire chief said that the crossing arms were down with lights and signals on when he arrived on scene. 

ACE reports trains 5 and 7are experiencing major delays east of the Livermore Station. Trains are stopped and are not moving past the Livermore Station.
