A driver was arrested Thursday morning on suspicion of DUI after his Dodge Charger struck several parked cars in San Jose and ended up slamming into the front porch of a house, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officer Ross Lee said that at about 4:20 a.m., officers were called out to inspect the damage of the house in the 4000 block of Rose Avenue at Stewart Avenue.

The 20-something driver had been traveling on Stewart Avenue when he struck several parked cars, forcing one of them into a fence, Lee said.

He continued, and made a hard left turn onto Rose Avenue, where he plowed into the porch a house, Lee said.

No one came out of the house, and Lee said it’s possible no one was home.

The driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution, and then will be booked into jail, Lee said.
