Two suspects were detained Wednesday afternoon after reports of a man armed with a gun inside a building, authorities say.

According to Oakland police, at about 12:53 p.m. police received a call about a man armed with a gun in the 3300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way.

Officers from both Oakland and Berkeley responded to the scene and set up a perimeter around the building and arrested two people.

Berkeley officers searched the building and determined there was no ongoing threat to the community, Berkeley police said.

Neither police department had any further details about the case.
