Evacuations in San Jose due to ruptured gas line
SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - A ruptured gas lined caused brief evacuations in San Jose.
It took place just before 4:30 p.m. Monday afternoon in the area of Capitol Avenue and Mabury Road.
Officials and teachers worked together to remove nearly 100 kids from Merryhill Elementary and preschool.
PG&E says a third party struck a line during a routine dig.
Crew members gave the all clear nearly an hour later.
