Evacuations near Calistoga after propane tanker overturns
CALISTOGA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities in Northern California have ordered people living and working the Sonoma/Napa County line to evacuate after a propane tanker overturned and they say the immediate threat is over.
The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office says a propane tanker overturned on Highway 128 near the Tom Eddy Winery in Calistoga. The office says people within a one mile radius of the sparsely populated area need to evacuate.
The office says the evacuation is expected to remain in place for about two hours.
The highway is closed in both directions.
