Facebook suffers apparent glitch that marks users as dead

(KTVU) - Facebook has suffered an apparent glitch that seems to be marking users as "dead' by placing a memorial banner on their profiles.

Many users saw they had the banner that is usually reserved for the deceased at the top of their profiles on Friday afternoon.

The banner reads, "Remembering [name]. We hope people who love [name] will find comfort in the things other share to remember and celebrate [user's] life." 

It also seemed to affect the profile of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
