Fake doctor receives 20-year prison sentence

SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) -- A San Francisco man has been sentenced to 20-years in prison for pretending to be a doctor and sexually assaulting women who showed up at his fake clinic.

Prosecutors say Carlos Guzman-Garza, 53, performed illegal operations on at least 9 women.

They say he ran a fake plastic surgery clinic in the mission district using the identity of a real doctor who had a similar name.

He was arrested in 2011, and convicted last October of 33 felonies.
