Famous 'Hugging Dogs' to be grand marshals in Sandy Springs Festival parade
SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - The world-famous hugging dogs, Kala and Kiera, will serve as grand marshals of the Annual Pet Parade during the Sandy Springs Festival on Saturday.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. at the festival, which runs through Sunday at 5 p.m.

The two pups rose to social media stardom after the Angels Among Us Pet Rescue put out a picture of the pair hugging on Facebook in order to save them from being euthanized. The photo went viral on the Web, and they were adopted within hours. The puppies have garnered national media attention, and will be on display during Saturday’s festival.
The pet parade is free to enter and prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories.
