Fan injured in fight outside Dodger Stadium

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Police say they are investigating a fight outside Dodger Stadium after a playoff game that left one fan critically injured.

Officer Matthew Ludwig says the injured person remained hospitalized Monday, but few other details were available.

The Los Angeles Times reports (http://lat.ms/1ZxOsmt ) that the fight broke out in a parking lot Friday, after the Dodgers lost the opening game of the National League Division Series to the New York Mets, 3-1.

Ludwig says an argument between fans escalated into a fight, but it's still not clear whether they were from rival teams.

Dodger Stadium came under national scrutiny after a 2011 attack in the parking lot on opening day that left San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow with brain damage. Two men later were imprisoned after pleading guilty.

The Times reported that the Dodgers declined comment.
