Fire breaks out at multi-story residential building in Pico-Union

LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - Crews battled a fire Friday morning at a multi-story residential building in the Pico-Union neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The fire was reported around 6 a.m. in the 1800 block of West 20th Street near Mariposa Avenue, authorities said.

The location is just north of the 10 Freeway, and the westbound Normandie Avenue exit was temporarily blocked.

There was no immediate word on injuries or the cause of the fire.
