Firefighters complete yard work for deceased elderly man's family

MODESTO, Calif. -- Giving service to their community is something that firefighters are quite used to doing, but these firefighters from Modesto went above and beyond to help a family in need.

Modesto Police officers and the Modesto Fire Department responded to a call on Thursday afternoon.

While mowing his lawn, an 89-year-old man had suffered a heart attack. Crews were unfortunately unable to revive the man.

While police officers were speaking to the family inside the home, the firefighters were up to something in the yard.

They came outside to find the firefighters completing the yard work the man had started when he suffered the heart attack.
