Flights canceled at SFO due to East Coast storm

A monster storm pounding the East Coast is causing flight delays here in the Bay Area.

San Francisco International Airport reported 97 flights canceled as of Thursday evening and that number is not likely to change. 

All flights out of JFK have been canceled and the airport is not expected to reopen until the early hours of Friday morning. (midnight Eastern Time). Additionally, all flights to Boston, Newark, New York metro and Philadelphia are also canceled. 

The duty manager at SFO said passengers on short haul flights in and out of San Francisco were also being affected.
