Forklift driver killed after driving off ramp at lumber supply company in SF's Dogpatch

SAN FRANCICO (BCN) - A man was killed this afternoon in a forklift accident in San Francisco's Dogpatch neighborhood.
The incident occurred just before 2 p.m. near Tennessee and Cesar Chavez streets, according to fire department spokesman Jonathan Baxter.
The man, an employee at a lumber supply company in the 1300 block of Marin Street, was driving a forklift when it went off a ramp, according to a spokeswoman for the California Department of Occupational Safety and
Health.
The employee got pinned underneath the forklift and died of his injuries, the spokeswoman said.
Cal/OSHA is investigating, as are San Francisco police.
The medical examiner's office is still at the scene investigating and has not yet released the man's identity.
