Former Raider Marv Hubbard dies

ALAMEDA, Calif. (KTVU) -- The Oakland Raiders made some sad news public Tuesday, announcing that former fullback Marv Hubbard died at age 68.

Hubbard played for the Raiders in the early 1970's and he was selected to three Pro Bowls.

Coach John Madden recalled Hubbard as one of the toughest men who ever played for the team.

Hubbard's wife Virginia -- a former school principal in Castro Valley-- said Hubbard died Monday in Livermore after a long fight with prostate cancer.
