Former UC Berkeley law school dean suing University
BERKELEY, Calif. (KTVU) - Former UC Berkeley Law School Dean Sujit Choudhry filed a federal employment discrimination lawsuit against the University on Thursday, alleging he’s the target of an improper second investigation into allegations that he sexually harassed his executive assistant.
Choudhry resigned in March after his executive assistant sued him for sexual harassment.
His assistant accused him of touching her against his will. The University cut his salary as dean by 10 percent and he later stepped down, but Choudhry says the university is now subjecting him to a second investigation because of other sex-harassment cases on campus.
A UC Berkeley spokesman says the University “intends to mount a vigorous and successful defense.”
