It appears that speed was a factor in a single-vehicle rollover crash in the Oakland Hills early this morning which left four people injured, two of them critically, police said.

However, it isn't yet known if alcohol or drugs were also factors in the crash which occurred in the 5100 block of Redwood Road at about 3:25 a.m., according to police.

Officers who responded to the crash found an overturned sedan resting against a tree, police said.

Four people, two male adults and two female adults were in the car and the driver and two passengers were trapped and had to be extricated by firefighters, according to police.

The other passenger was ejected from the vehicle, police said.

All four occupants were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment and two are listed in critical but stable condition and the other two are listed in stable condition, according to police.

Oakland police said the crash is still under investigation and anyone with information about it should call their traffic investigation unit at (510) 777-8570.
