Fremont power outage affecting traffic lights, hundreds of customers
FREMONT, Calif. (BCN) - A power outage in Fremont this morning has left hundreds of residents without power and is also affecting traffic lights in some parts of the city.
Police are asking drivers to avoid Paseo Padre Parkway between Capital and Walnut avenues as well as Civic Center Drive between Walnut Avenue and Bart Way due to the affected traffic lights.
PG&E crews are on scene and estimate it will be several hours before power is restored in the area, police said.
The outage, which began at 7:58 a.m., is affecting about 550 customers, according to PG&E's website. Crews are continuing to investigate a cause for the outage.
