Funeral service for Miss Flo, 88-year-old San Jose woman beaten in robbery

Loved ones gathered in San Jose to remember and celebrate the life of an elderly woman badly beaten during a home-invasion robbery.

88-year-old Flo Douglas, affectionately known as, ‘Miss Flo’ was considered a pillar of the community and a beloved member of her church, the Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church.

That’s where Thursday’s service was held.

Miss Flo died nearly a month after the attack on September 12th where she suffered major head trauma and brain damage during the robbery.

"We want to focus and celebrate these long 88 years of longevity that had enjoyed and the fruitful life that she was able to lead and live and just celebrate the fond memories we have of her,” said Pastor Wallace from Saint Paul’s.
19-year-old Zachary Cuen was arrested in connection with the robbery and assault. He now faces an additional charge of murder.
