Funnel clouds spotted in South Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (FOX40) -- At least one funnel cloud was spotted Tuesday afternoon in the South Sacramento area.

The National Weather Service said they had reports of five to seven funnel clouds.

Thunderstorms and hail hit the area hard in the mid afternoon. Several FOX40 viewers were able to take pictures of the funnel cloud.

The National Weather Service said the funnel cloud did not touch down.
