Girl rushed to hospital after falling off horse in Contra Costa Co.
A 9-year-old girl was flown to UCSF Benioff Chidren's Hospital Oakland with possible trauma after falling from a horse Friday afternoon in the unincorporated community of Byron, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District said.
Crews were called shortly after noon to Marsh Creek Stables at 24670 Marsh Creek Road in Byron and personnel cared for and prepared the girl for transport by helicopter ConAir1.
