Hazmat crew responds to pool chlorine spill in Santa Rosa

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KTVU) - A hazmat team is in the process of cleaning up a pool chemical spill from this morning in Santa Rosa. 

Santa Rosa Fire Department and Santa Rosa police say an unknown amount of chlorine spilled at Piner Road and Pinecrest Drive near Fulton Road. 

The police department tweeted about the incident at 10:41 a.m. Monday morning and said to avoid the area if possible. 

Fulton Road to Piner Road is blocked and westbound Piner is being diverted to southbound Pinecrest.  This is a busy commercial area of town

There's no word on what caused the spill or how long it will take to clean up.
