Health department shuts down San Francisco Popeyes for cockroach infestation

A Popeyes restaurant in San Francisco was shut down earlier this week for a cockroach infestation.

The health department closed the location at Divisadero and Hayes Tuesday night after an inspector found signs of insects and rodents.

A sign posted at the fast food restaurant said the violations were an "immediate danger to public health or safety."

The health department ordered the restaurant to correct the sanitation issues before it can reopen for business.
