Regina Butler killed a mentally disabled man by stabbing him 34 times. She the hid the body under a mattress with a giant teddy on top. Then, top mask the smell of decomposition, she threw random pieces of raw chicken parts around the apartment.
That's how a Santa Clara County Superior Court jury saw the evidence when they convicted her of first-degree murder in the slaying of 69-year-old Stanley Jacobson, whose body went unnoticed for a month, prosecutors say.
