Henry Lee's Rap Sheet for Nov. 24, 2015

Vallejo residents have a chance to have dinner with the city's police chief, Andrew Bidou.
(KTVU) - Here's the Rap Sheet for Nov. 24, 2015:
EX-MACY'S SECURITY GUARD SUES: A loss prevention officer at Macy's Union Square is San Francisco is suing his former employer, saying he was seriously injured by an escaping shoplifter -- and then sacked by the company three days before Christmas last year after he returned to work.
Alejandro Ante, 35, says in the suit filed in San Francisco Superior Court that a shoplifter who had stolen $2,500 in merchandise slammed his head into an asphalt stairwell in Dec 6, 2014.
Ante says he could not have foreseen the "spiraling medical conditions" that he suffered as a result.
"Even less did he expect, though, to be summarily fired from his job when, after hospitalization and a period of bed rest, he hobbled back into work with the help of a cane," the suit says.
The complaint says Ante gave "all his health and semblance of a dignified, gainfully employed existence" and that Macy's, instead, "gave him directions to the nearest unemployment office."
Betsy Nelson, vice president of media relations and cause marketing for Macy's West Coast, said today in an e-mailed statement, "Macy's does not comment on pending litigation."
DINNER WITH THE VALLEJO'S TOP COP: Vallejo residents have a chance to have dinner with Police Chief Andrew Bidou.
As part of the festivities, local residents from various neighborhood groups will be recognized for their crime-fighting efforts. The chief will be joined by the city's community services section and code enforcement division will also be there.
Bidou was named Vallejo chief last year after serving as top cop in Benicia. He began his career as an officer in Newark, CA.
The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tues. Dec. 1 at JFK Library, Joseph Room, 505 Santa Clara St. RSVP to Tina Encarnacion at (707) 651-7184 or Christina.Encarnacion@cityofvallejo.net
