High-speed chase ends with suspect crashing into store

OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - A high-speed chase that started in San Leandro Tuesday morning ended with the suspect’s car crashing into a small market in Oakland.

Police sources say the chase started just before 7:30 a.m. in San Leandro and briefly jumped onto 580 before it ended at the 7900 block of Mountain Avenue, when the suspect lost control and slammed into Tony’s Market.

Sources say the suspect was arrested but there is no information available about whether they suffered any injuries.
