"Holy moly!" Bizarre microburst of rain pelts Santa Barbara beach

A bizarre microburst of rain exploded from the sky in Santa Barbara on Sunday, surprising beachgoers and toppling umbrellas over on the sand.

The storm hit about 3 p.m. and sent people on the beach scrambling for cover.  Leonard Diaz took some cell phone video and can be heard documenting the strange weather event punctuated by exclamations like “Holy Moly!”
