Homicide in San Jose leaves one dead, one injured
SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - San Jose Police officers are investigating a homicide that occurred early Sunday morning.
San Jose Police officers responded to the 1900 block of Lavonne Avenue on a report of a person shot just before 6:30 a.m. and found one adult male and one adult female with at least one gunshot wound each.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital. The female victim was pronounced dead shortly after.
The male victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the motive is still unclear.
No suspects have been identified. The identities of the victims will not be released until police notify the female victims' next of kin.
This is San Jose's 40th homicide this year.
