It's not just you: Comcast cable outage reported across the country Monday night
Did your Comcast cable suddenly stop working Monday night? You're not alone. Customers across the country reported outages around 9pm Pacific time, when their TV's suddenly froze.
Most people reported problems with their remote controls. In our newsroom, several people said they thought it was a battery issue, but realized a fresh set of batteries did not fix the issue.
Customers reported their remote controls began working again after about 30 minutes.
We are waiting to hear back from Comcast for their official response to the outage, but according to the Xfinity by Comcast Outage Map, Hayward, San Francisco, Sacramento and San Jose were among the top most affected areas in the country.
